Call for Papers - Submissions Are No Longer Being Accepted

The 5th International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge - Scaling Up: Big Data to Big Impact.
16-20 March 2015, Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

LAK15 will keep up the momentum generated in the earlier conferences as we continue to define who we are as a community and how our research can impact the important decisions facing education today.  As part of our theme this year we will be introducing a new practitioner track to the conference to provide institutional and industry leaders the opportunity to share how learning analytics is impacting on education at scale. 

Given this addition, there are two options this year with regards to the submission process...

Research  Track

  • Focus: Rigorous academic research findings
  • Review Process: Formal peer-review by leading PhD learning analytics researchers
  • Included in ACM Proceedings?: Yes
  • Submission Types: Full paper, short paper, posters, research demonstrations, workshops and tutorials*
  • Awards: Best Paper, Best Poster, Best Demonstration

Submission Deadline: October 14, 2014

Research Submission Instructions

Practitioner Track

  • Focus: Innovative and impactful implementation of learning analytics
  • Review Process: General review by other learning analytics practitioners
  • Included in ACM Proceedings?: No
  • Submission Types: Presentation, panel, technology showcase
  • Awards: Best Presentation/Panel, Best Technology Showcase

Relevant Dates

14 October 2014: Deadline for all RESEARCH TRACK submission types (no extension will be considered).

31 October 2014: Deadline for all Doctoral Consortium submissions (no extension will be considered).

3 November 2014: Deadline for all PRACTITIONER TRACK submission types (no extension will be considered).

4 November 2014: Notification of acceptance for workshop and tutorial proposals.

30 November 2014: Notification of acceptance for Doctoral Consortium.

9 December 2014: Notification of acceptance for full/short papers, panel proposals, demonstrations and posters.

10 December 2014: Registration Opens

1 February 2015: Final version of accepted papers due.

21 January 2015: Early Bird Registration Ends

16-20 March 2015: Conference.
